I was very pleasantly surprised by how informative this course was... I've taken graduate level courses that weren't as productive! There was one issue with the provided solution/Excel document for the final project: The column to the right of the decision variables regarding which manager is assigned to which project should be =SUMPRODUCT (so as to link the manager/project eligibility table with the decision variable table) instead of =SUM. Note that this error in the solution document was discussed in the Discussions tab in the course page. Other than this mistake, the course was SPOT ON good, lots of informative information in regards to how to solve complex logistics problems.

This course just send me back to school, the abilty of getting me understand mathematical formulas with ease in your videos is unmatched. Thank you so much, this has increased my earning potential, with the Application of Goal Seek, trendlines and conditional formatiing to predict revenue, Modelling Net Present Value (NPV) to determine whether you can or can not proceed your investment with much clear details, Lastly the best skill i learned and enjoyed the most since this applied with my line of work the Linear and Non-Linear programming as a manager this is the best tool that one can use to maximizing profit or minimizing cost. there is an error in the first question of the module where What if analysis is introduced. In the quiz after the module, the first question ask "what is the weekly cost", but wrongly introduce the cost of the startup as the right answer. The cost of the start-up is only paid once (or in a more complex scenario is diluted in more time units, but not in this case). The correct answer (which is not among the choices) should be: Numer of days * Number of Sold hotdogs per day * cost of making the hotdog.

Es un muy buen curso de Excel,con un profesor que explica muy bien, solo que para no batallar mucho en entender el curso debes irle entendiendo a las matemáticas y al inglés para que sea más llevadero el curso, sin embargo si desarrollas habilidades muy útiles que pueden ser apreciadas para conseguir trabajo en estos tiempos donde la competencia para puestos donde ayuden personas que saben de matemáticas, este curso de Excel es un plus para la vida personal y la vida laboral.

I was very happy with this course! It covered a lot of themes and was very comprehensive. As a learner I might want to add: a real face and not only spreadsheets with voice over would be a little better. The course did get alot more difficult the last few videos and I would have appreciated one last video and review including an explanation to the final exam. Other than that It was very well made, understandable, easy to follow and yet covered all themes.

I recently completed the Business Analytics with Excel: Elementary to Advanced course, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to master Excel for business analysis. The course is well-organized and covers a wide range of topics, from basic Excel functions to advanced data analysis techniques. The instructor, Prof. Joseph Cutrone, is knowledgeable and engaging, and he does a great job of explaining the concepts in a clear and concise way.

The professor was able to demonstrate and describe each function. He has a good pace, and I was able to follow his explanations. The readings helped reinforce the lessons. The last project was way over my head, but he wanted us to see the potential of the things he was teaching. I put the course to use right away by making a break-even analysis for our farming operation. Thanks so much for this solid, practical introduction to analytics.

i've been using Excel for a long time in both academy and professional level. However, i gained lot of new knowledge by following this course during last few weeks. The number of examples this course offers is good and make you practice more. And interesting fact is all the things i've learnt so far can be used in both office and day to day life (investment decision making/ allocation of resources). highly recommend this.

Wonderful course, very well taught. I only had trouble with the non-linear programming parts and I think that having a visual of the hot dog problem that was in one of the final quizzes could have helped because I never figured out how that problem was supposed to be modeled in excel. Possibly add it in after the learner passes that quiz so they have a reference, since a similar problem was in the week six assessment.

This course exposes us to a wide variety of real time problems that can be solved using management science methods and modelled in Excel. It started from the basics of spreadsheet design, then covered broader mathematical optimization modelling, linear programming, transportation and assignment problems. The examples in the course as well the practice and evaluation questions were really good.

The Course was excellent the tutor was brilliant, loved the way he was teaching throughout the course with such deep explanation and clarifying about each and every point out there in the video, this course helped me to polish my excel analytical skills and get familiar with some important excel tools, which will indeed help me in the upcoming future, would recommend everyone for sure....

Joseph Cutrone did an outstanding job of explaining both the nuances of the Excel features and the content of the subject - such as the concept of NPV, the power of modeling how data acts (for example using linear, power, or exponential formulas) and the concept of absolute error when evaluating the model. I would highly recommend this instructor, he makes learning Excel fun!

I have succesfully completed the certification course, equiped with neccesary knowledge and skills to make data driven decison making. It was a interactive course containing the right amount of information to learn effeciently. Now I can confidently leverage the knowledge and skills in academics and work. I liked how the new concepts were introduced and then advance situations were build on it. I have learned some new things. I have certainly achieve my objective. If only we could have an option to raise our queries directly to the presenter it would have been helpful.(like in final assignment I have a better answer than suggested answer, and I have no option to reverify it)

Very good course that thoroughly exercises your understanding of the material. It would have been nice to see some more Excel solver features used, but I think you come away with a good grounding in the basics. Not as demanding as the Discrete Optimisation courses from Melbourne University that use Minizinc, but useful for business users rather than academic types.

I am that person that didn't like online learning, I believed in connecting with the teachers and be in a class, Coursera has changed that perspective for me, This was the first course i took and it definitely isn't the last.
